Santa Train

Today, we took a train ride to go see Santa.  The boys got to meet Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas.  We were expecting Santa to reward them with a candy cane but instead he gave them a wooden model train!!  We also had hot chocolate and cookies.  We watched them making the cookies right on the train!   We also explored several train cars!!  Then after we explored, it was time to take the train back!   The boys really loved riding on the train!  The train car we rode on was built in 1913!  It originally ran from Pittsburgh to Chicago.  What a fun day!! Our only complaint was that it was a very chilly day, but I guess that isn't Santa's fault!!  Isn't the Christmas season fun??

Grandpa and Grandma Knight Visit

This Thanksgiving was a lot of fun because Grandma and Grandpa Knight visited us.  Brandon and I cooked our first Thanksgiving meal!  I think it turned out pretty well.  After dinner, we gave the boys some See's Candy.  Seamus loved it.

It was great to spend some quality time with grandma and grandpa.  And they were a big help around the house!  Brandon and I even got to go out a few times by ourselves.

We also took them to one of our favorite spots, Snoqualmie Falls.  It is such an awesome wonder to see!  All in all, it was a great trip.  We are so happy they came to see us!!

Owen the Banana

Lately Owen has been pulling his shirt over his head and pretending he is a banana.  It is a very cute ordeal.  Even if I worry that all his shirts are getting stretched out.

The Science Museum

This Saturday we went to the Pacific Science Musuem with friends of ours.  It was really fun.  Owen really loved the Dinosaur room. It was a big room filled with mechanical dinosaurs.  The museum was filled was lots of things to do with kids.  The museum is located right at Seattle Center.   This is an area in Seattle where a lot goes on!!  It is right by the base of the Space Needle!  It was a very fun day!!  Followed by a lazy Sunday.  Good weekend!

Grandma and Grandpa Reilley Visit!

We were so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa Reilley visit us for a week!  It was a busy week filled with lot of fun activities.  We showed them Snoqualmie Falls.

We also spent one day downtown.  We went to Pike Place Market and Gas Works Park.  Gas Works park is pretty cool because it is right across the bay from Downtown Seattle.  So the view from the park is downtown Seattle!

While they were here we celebrated Seamus's second birthday!  It is hard to believe that he is already 2 years old!

Other than that we spent time relaxing and enjoying time with the family!  Brandon and I even got to go out a couple time by ourselves.

It was a fun time!  We always enjoy when people pay us a visit!  (Hint, Hint)

Halloween

Halloween was a super busy, but fun day.  Brandon was out of town, so we really missed him.   We started the day trick or treating in a cute shopping center.  Then we came home and took an afternoon rest.  After that we went to "Trick or Trucks."  The city of Maple Valley set up trucks and the kids could climb on them and get candy!  Then it was back to our houses to wait for trick or treaters!  The boys loved handing out candy to all the kids that came to the door.  All in all it was a fun day.

Carving Pumpkins!

We got 3 pumpkins for Halloween!  A big one for carving and 2 smaller ones for the boys to decorate.  Owen and Seamus decorated their pumpkins with felt Halloween stickers we bought at the dollar store.  Brandon did a great job carving the bigger pumpkin!  Then we dried the pumpkin seeds and toasted them!  Yum!

Trip to the zoo and a new bed!!

This weekend was very eventful!  The first big news is that we moved Seamus into his big boy bed.  The first night was interesting.  I think someone likes the fact that he can get out of bed whenever he wants.  (He could do that before, but it included climbing over the crib railing.)  We are hoping the novelty wears off and he learns to stay in his bed and fall asleep.  He is getting to be such a big boy!!

On Saturday, we went to Zoo Boo with two families we go to church with.  It was pouring rain for a better part of the day, but we still had a blast.  And the rain kept a lot of the crowds away.   We saw lots of animals.  The zoo also had trick or treating and crafts for the kids.  A day with animals and candy.  I think the two go hand in hand.  The carousel was also free that day.  We took many turns on that.  Sometimes we got off and then got right back on!  The boys loved it!

The past 2 weeks

The past 2 weeks have been very busy in the Knight household. It started with a visit from our favorite Aunt Brigid. While she was here, we saw a movie, went to Pike Place Market, and got lost several times. This last issue resulting in a new GPS system. YAY!! We also had a cake for Brigid, which Seamus flipped over before we had time to eat it!! It still tasted yummy though!

Last weekend, we took the boys to Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw, Washington. We rode the kiddie train, did the corn maze, took a hay ride and got our pumpkin. The boys even jumped in a corn pit. Basically a ball pit but with corn instead. It was a great family day!

New Blog!

Ok, I am following suit. Since my favorite sister and favorite brother-in-law are out of the country. I decided to start a blog. So the people not near us will know what the Seattle folk are up to. I will try to post a more interesting post later.

Hope all is well!!

Should I do this??

Right now, I am contemplating even starting this. Will people even read it? Will it be good for me to write was going on it our lives? Maybe I should. I can write down the funny things my kids say. Like how my son prayed for poop tonight. Or how he wanted to take his feet off today instead of his socks. I don't blame him sometimes I want to take my feet off.

Ok, I will put some effort into to it and give it a try.
